Why have a pub wedding?

We are going to put this out there, gone are the days of a traditional wedding. With trends and fashion changing ever more quickly and social media spear heading the path, a pub wedding provides a perfect space to truly put your own stamp on your special day.

Pubs offer a comfortable relaxing space, some of ours are more traditional than other’s however the familiarity of a pub as a wedding venue is becoming increasingly more popular with couples. It may even be the case of supporting your local. With such a versatile nature, the pub invites both adults, children, and our furry friends alike.

Laine is proud to have different styles of pub, but the typical couple we suit are generally laid back, who love rustic charm, intimate spaces, hearty home made food and that something a little bit different.

This break away from the normal is becoming increasingly popular, here is why it is so appealing to have a pub wedding ceremony and reception specifically at a Laine pub.

  1. THE FOOD AND DRINK

Many of you have frequented a pub before and may call a few your regular spot. We do love a good boozer, and its because of the hearty pub grub and the delicious home brewed beers. Laine pride brewing their beers right here on this fair isle in Sussex, which adds a unique twist to your special day –you can even get a beer badge designed for your favourite tipple.

Our north west London pub, Adam & Eve is our shining gem for a pub wedding. With countryside views you can book one or two stunning first floor function rooms. The gastro pub feel is reflected in the delicious wedding breakfast menu – all supported by canapes, buffets and pescatarian menus.

2. THE LITTLE BIT EXTRA

No two couples are the same and we wouldn’t expect any two weddings being either. We have many years of orchestrating weddings, shows, circus performances and live music events.

Our venues range from vintage circus themed pubs, retro arcade halls to a 24/7 festival themed venue where you can dive head first down the rabbit hole like Alice did when she encountered Wonderland.

Wandering down to Catford, south east London you will discover our festival venue, Ninth Life. Filled to the brim with art, the venue bursts with colour and fantasy. The pub is designed to provide each guest with a different experience every time – you may roll upon a hidden room or witness a neon hoop throwing circus performer. As a couple you can pull on all these marvels and curate a truly unique wedding reception for yourself and your guests.

3. PETS WELCOME

One of few traditions we really do like sticking to, is welcoming your faithful mutt. Gone are the days of separation anxiety from your companion, the pub has always welcomed dogs and we are no different.

Even our most outrageous pub loves a doggo. The Aeronaut in Acton has a gorgeous resident poochie called Lucy. Dog snacks, toys and water bowls keep them happy and comfortable during their visit. The Circus Room and Festival Garden are available for private hire and provides wedding party spaces with entertainment a plenty. A perfect wedding reception venue for those couples love a quirky, fun filled party.
